The Rotary Club of Koteshwara donated a water filter to the Government School at Kedoor as part of its commitment to providing safe drinking water for students. The water filter, generously sponsored by Rtn. Satish Achar, a member of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara, was formally handed over to the school during a special programme. The function was presided over by Rtn. Akshatha Girish Aithal, President of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara. Among the dignitaries present on the dais were Rtn. Sudhakar Shetty, Assistant Governor, Rtn. Suresh Belur, Zone Trainer, and Mr. Uday Kumar Shetty, Headmaster of the Government School. Also present were Rtn. Arun Devadiga, Secretary of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara, past presidents and members of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara, members of the School Development and Management Committee, and school staff.

Organizing denture camps every year for hundreds of beneficiaries is a remarkable service to society,” said Rtn. B. M. Bhat, District Governor of Rotary District 3182. He was speaking after inaugurating the Denture Camp held at Vinayaka Sabhagruha, Kumbashi, jointly organized by A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangaluru, and Rtn. Sundar Hegde Health Centre, Dabbekatte. Dr. Sudheep Hegde, Head of the Department of Prosthodontics at A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, explained the objectives and special features of the camp. Rtn. Sudhakar Shetty, Assistant Governor of Rotary Zone II, and Dr. Surendra Shetty of Rtn. Sundar Hegde Health Centre, Dabbekatte, conveyed their best wishes for the success of the programme. The function was presided over by Rtn. Akshatha Girish Aithal, President of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara. Among those present were Dr. Pavithra and Dr. Reshma from Rtn. Sundar Hegde Health Centre, Mr. Umesh M. Nayak, one of the programme sponsors, and members of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara. The camp was attended by 70 doctors and 30 support staff from A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, and 32 beneficiaries received complete denture treatment during the programme. Former Assistant Governor Rtn. Ganesh Shetty Molahalli welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by Rtn. Ashok Thekatte, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Joint Secretary Rtn. Chandrahas.

The Installation Ceremony of the office bearers of Ann’s Club Koteshwara, the Inner Wheel of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara, was held on Saturday at the Rotary Bhavan, Koteshwara. On the occasion, Mrs. Sujatha S. Shetty assumed office as the President of Ann’s Club Koteshwara and presided over the function. Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Mrs. Jayashila Pai appreciated the role of organizations that bring women together and expressed her hope that such organizations would continue to grow. She stated that women possess the strength and ability to successfully balance their responsibilities towards both their families and society. The programme was graced by Rtn. Akshatha Girish Aithal, President of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara; Rtn. Arun Devadiga, Secretary of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara; Rtn. KUNDAPURA, July 4: A 10-day yoga training camp titled “Yoga Manthra” was jointly organised by Rotary Club Koteshwara and the Udupi District Police for police personnel under the guidance of yoga instructor Vivek Pai. The camp was inaugurated by Kundapura Police Inspector Jayaram Gowda. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the importance of yoga in helping police personnel cope with work-related stress and maintain physical as well as mental well-being. He commended Rotary Club Koteshwara for taking up such a thoughtful and socially relevant initiative. Addressing the gathering, Rtn. Krishnamurthy P.K., Past President of Rotary Club Koteshwara, said that the club has been actively organising community service projects every year, and the yoga camp for police personnel is another step towards promoting public welfare. During the programme, Gurudas, a National Award-winning officer from the Police Department, was felicitated in recognition of his outstanding service. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from police personnel and aimed at enhancing their physical fitness, mental resilience, and overall well-being through regular yoga practice. Among those present were Rtn. Akshatha Girish, President, Rotary Club Koteshwara; Rtn. Arun Devadiga, Secretary; P.P. AG Rtn. Prabhakar Kumbashi; and Rtn. Girish Aithal, along with other Rotary members and dignitaries.

A notebook distribution program was successfully organized at Vakwadi School with the generous support of philanthropist Chandrashekar Shetty.The event was graced by chief guests AG Sudhakar Shetty and Ravindra Shetty, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to make the best use of educational resources provided to them.Rotary Club Koteshwara President Vijay presided over the function. The newly elected office bearers, President Akshatha Girish and Secretary Arun Devadiga, were also present and expressed their commitment towards supporting educational and community service activities. Students, teachers, and parents participated enthusiastically in the program.
