Rotary Club Koteshwara Conducts 10-Day Yoga “yoga manthra” Camp for Police Personnel
KUNDAPURA, July 4: A 10-day yoga training camp titled “Yoga Manthra” was jointly organised by Rotary Club Koteshwara and the Udupi District Police for police personnel under the guidance of yoga instructor Vivek Pai. The camp was inaugurated by Kundapura Police Inspector Jayaram Gowda. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the importance of yoga in helping police personnel cope with work-related stress and maintain physical as well as mental well-being. He commended Rotary Club Koteshwara for taking up such a thoughtful and socially relevant initiative. Addressing the gathering, Rtn. Krishnamurthy P.K., Past President of Rotary Club Koteshwara, said that the club has been actively organising community service projects every year, and the yoga camp for police personnel is another step towards promoting public welfare. During the programme, Gurudas, a National Award-winning officer from the Police Department, was felicitated in recognition of his outstanding service. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from police personnel and aimed at enhancing their physical fitness, mental resilience, and overall well-being through regular yoga practice. Among those present were Rtn. Akshatha Girish, President, Rotary Club Koteshwara; Rtn. Arun Devadiga, Secretary; P.P. AG Rtn. Prabhakar Kumbashi; and Rtn. Girish Aithal, along with other Rotary members and dignitaries.
