“Rotary International places great emphasis on health as one of its areas of focus, and the contribution of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara in promoting dental health is truly commendable. Organizing denture camps every year for hundreds of beneficiaries is a remarkable service to society,” said Rtn. B. M. Bhat, District Governor of Rotary District 3182.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Denture Camp held at Vinayaka Sabhagruha, Kumbashi, jointly organized by A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangaluru, and Rtn. Sundar Hegde Health Centre, Dabbekatte.
Dr. Sudheep Hegde, Head of the Department of Prosthodontics at A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, explained the objectives and special features of the camp. Rtn. Sudhakar Shetty, Assistant Governor of Rotary Zone II, and Dr. Surendra Shetty of Rtn. Sundar Hegde Health Centre, Dabbekatte, conveyed their best wishes for the success of the programme.

The function was presided over by Rtn. Akshatha Girish Aithal, President of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara. Among those present were Dr. Pavithra and Dr. Reshma from Rtn. Sundar Hegde Health Centre, Mr. Umesh M. Nayak, one of the programme sponsors, and members of the Rotary Club of Koteshwara.
The camp was attended by 70 doctors and 30 support staff from A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, and 32 beneficiaries received complete denture treatment during the programme.

Former Assistant Governor Rtn. Ganesh Shetty Molahalli welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by Rtn. Ashok Thekatte, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Joint Secretary Rtn. Chandrahas.
